When we started to think about JumbleAID we wanted to provide a service which would ensure that any Donation made for a Charity would be as intact as it could be. To do this we made a commitment to make the site as inclusive as possible by allowing ANY charity to benefit and for JumbleAID to not take a penny from the donations.
We have formed a special relationship with the Charities Trust (Charity No: 327489), and have secured the rate for administering all our transactions through them. They take care of all of the donation payments, to which the Charitiess Trust claim GiftAid (where applicable) before deducting a 4% administration fee, once this is done they pass the monies to the charity that you nominated as the Gifter.
For example:
If a pledge for £20.00 is collected for a Gift of say a Teddy Bear, and the Gifter is a UK registered taxpayer then the donation would be calculated as follows:

Once the donation transaction is complete the money is held in a Charities Trust account for a minimum of 21 days, at which point Gift Aid is applied for (where applicable) and the donation is then cleared for batch payment direct to the designated charity by Charities Trust. The payment is either by BACS or by cheque subject to the details held by Charities Trust.
