Adjusting the axial clearance For the installation of the axial clearance of the tapered roller bearing, the adjustment nut on the journal, the adjustment washer, and the thread in the bearing housing hole or the preload spring and other methods can be used for adjustment. The size of the axial clearance depends on the arrangement of the bearing installation, the distance between the bearings, and the material of the shaft and the bearing seat, and can be determined according to the working conditions.
For tapered roller bearings with high load and high speed, when adjusting the clearance, the effect of temperature rise on the axial clearance must be considered, and the amount of clearance reduction caused by the temperature rise must be estimated, that is, the axial clearance It should be adjusted appropriately.
For bearings with low speed and vibration, it should be installed without clearance or preloaded. The purpose is to make the rollers and raceways of the tapered roller bearings make good contact. The load is evenly distributed to prevent the rollers and raceways from being damaged by vibration and shock. After adjustment, the size of the axial clearance is checked with a dial indicator.
Installation of four-row tapered roller bearings (installing roller bearings):
1. The fit between the inner ring of four-row tapered roller bearing and the roll neck is generally with a gap. When installing, first install the bearing into the bearing box, and then fit the bearing box into the journal.
2. The outer ring of the four-row tapered roller bearing and the bearing box's hole is also dynamically matched. First, install the outer ring A into the bearing box. When leaving the factory, the characters {HotTag} are printed on the outer ring, inner ring, and internal and external spaces. When installing, they must be installed in the bearing box in the order of the character symbols. Not interchangeable to prevent the change of bearing clearance.
3. After all the parts are installed in the bearing box, the inner ring and the internal spacer, the outer ring, and the outer spacer are axially tight.
4. Measure the width of the gap between the end face of the outer ring and the bearing box cover to determine the thickness of the corresponding gasket.
Multi-sealed bearings are marked with a postcode XRS.

tolerance
ZWZ metric tapered roller bearings have normal tolerances, and also provide P6X, P6, P5, P4, P2 tolerance products, all in line with GB307.1.
ZWZ inch tapered roller bearings have common grade tolerances, and can also provide CL2, CL3, CL0, CL00 grade tolerance products as required.
Radial clearance
ZWZ single-row tapered roller bearings only have clearance after installation, and can solely be determined after another bearing positioned in the opposite direction is adjusted.
Cage
Tapered roller bearings are stamped with steel plates and basket-shaped cages, but the solid prop cages are also used when the size is more significant.
1. When the bearing outer diameter D ≤ 650mm, the steel plate stamping cage is adopted, and the rear code of the cage is not marked.
